ViewPiece has no published technical paper, peer-reviewed result or validated performance trial at present. The research programme is therefore presented as a set of questions to investigate—not as a record of completed achievements.
Questions worth making testable
When does added context improve a deformation estimate?
Compare time-series methods with and without independent atmospheric, elevation or GNSS information. Measure whether the added source reduces error on held-out locations, and identify conditions where it does not.
How much scene structure is constrained by the data?
Construct controlled scenes with known properties, forward-model candidate observations and compare inverse methods. Report sensitivity to priors, sampling, noise and model mismatch.
When do complementary sensors reduce ambiguity?
Evaluate registered optical, radar, terrain and environmental inputs against a question-specific reference. Treat temporal mismatch and scale differences as experimental variables.
Can uncertainty become easier to interpret?
Study whether evidence-aware visual encodings help technical and institutional readers distinguish measured variables, derived estimates and missing information without overstating confidence.
How an investigation would be judged
Each study should define the physical problem, existing scientific baseline, data provenance, hypotheses, reference measurements, metrics, uncertainty, exclusions and failure conditions before results are interpreted. Independent review and reproducibility matter as much as a visually compelling output.
New entries will appear in Publications when they are ready to cite and review. The intention is to earn scientific authority through transparent results, not imply it in advance.
